How to Send Broadcast Emails

📤 Understand when to use a broadcast vs. a campaign: Campaigns are designed for automated, recurring email workflows that run on a set schedule over time. Broadcasts are your go-to for one-time, urgent, or timely messages that don’t require a full campaign setup, like a natural disaster alert or a price increase notice.

🎯 Send from the right starting point: If you have a specific segment in mind, start in the Account section, find your existing audience, and click Send One Email. If you’re reaching all active customers, head to the Broadcast tab under Marketing and kick it off from there.

✍️ Build your message three ways: Use the Message Library for pre-written templates organized by topic (disasters, holidays, new policies, and more), use First Draft AI to generate a polished draft from a simple prompt, or start from scratch and build it yourself. All three options are available in the same workflow.

🎨 Customize and personalize: From the editor, you can add images, buttons, and attachments, and use the pencil icon to control who the email comes from and who it goes to. Options include sending from a specific producer, a custom email address, or even targeted individuals by name.

📅 Schedule strategically and target with intention: Send your broadcast immediately or schedule it for the right moment. A message about auto insurance should go to auto clients, not your entire database, and be mindful of any campaigns already covering a similar topic to avoid duplicate outreach.
